SSB Interview Stages

How to Crack NDA SSB Interview- Tips and Tricks
Get familiar with SSB Tests and Procedures: SSB Interviews take about 6 days, unlike others which gets complete in some hours or a day. Give yourself Practice Enough: There is plenty of study material for SSB interview preparation. If you want to ace the SSB interview you have to prepare for the physical tests, PI, psychological tests, and group discussions along with the written test. NDA SSB Interviewing Process
Day 1 (Screening Test)
Intelligence Test: It is a written test with MCQs. This test comprises verbal as well as non-verbal questions. Candidates are allotted 30 seconds to answer a question.
Picture Perception and Discussion Test(PP&DT): It includes story writing and group discussions. Additionally a picture is shown to a candidate for 30 seconds. The candidate has to write a story based on the picture also in a fixed time of 3 minutes.
Day 2 (Psychology Test)
Thematic Apperception Test(TAT): Similarly, this test is like PP & DT test. Also, in this test 11 pictures are shown. Each picture flashes only for 30 seconds. Then the candidate has to write a story based on the picture. It is repeating till the last slide. However, the duration is of 4 minutes in this test. The 12th slide is blank and candidates have to write a story on their own.
Word Association Test(WAT): In this test 60 back-to-back words has been shown by a candidate for 50 seconds. After that candidate has to write the first thought that comes into his/her mind from those words.
Situation Reaction Test(SRT): In this test, candidates gets a booklet with 60 situations written on it. Then candidates have to write their responses based on those 60 situations.
Self Description Test (SDT): In this test, candidates have to write their opinion about their parents, themselves, friends, teachers, and also others. The given time is of 15 minutes.

Day 3 and 4 (Group Testing Officer Tasks): This test includes-
Group Discussion: In this, a group of candidates is given a topic for discussion. However, they need to to express their views on various issues related to the topic. The Group Task Officer observes every candidate in the discussion.
Group Planning Exercise: In this task, real-life practical circumstances are presented in front of a group of applicants. Accordingly, they have to write their own plan of action for the mentioned problem.
Progressive Group Task: Obstacles are put on in front of candidates. Obviously the candidates have to pass these obstacles with the help of provided materials.
Half Group Tasks: It is the same as Progressive Group Task. However, the members of the group are halved, so every candidate gets more chances to show their potential.
Individual Obstacles: The candidate individually has to pass 10 obstacles.
Command Task: In this stage, the candidate has given role of a commander. However, the candidate has to cross some obstacles along with their subordinates provided.
Lecturete: Then, the candidate has to give a lecture for 2-3 minutes on a given topic.
Also, on the same day conduction of Personal Interview of a candidate takes place.
Day 5 (Conference)
It is the final day and all the Board Members sit together and ask some general questions to the individual candidate. This chat decides whether the candidate is capable of being an officer or not.
However, The result declares within an hour after the completion of the board meeting. Selected candidates undergo a medical test for further 3 or 5 days. Lastly, After qualifying the candidate’s medical test there is announcement of the final merit list.
