Every year 2.5 lakh candidates take part in a written exam and only 545 are called for SSB Interview. And, finally only approx 350 gets selected. By, the above numbers you get to know what kind of NDA Selection Process is.
What is NDA?
NDA (National Defence Academy) is the first tri-service academy in the world. This prestigious Defence Institution is located in Pune, Maharashtra, and was established in 1954. It aims to train young cadets for all three branches of the armed forces. NDA has also produced 32 service Chiefs of Staff to date. After passing class 12th you can join NDA through an exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year twice.
Eligibility for NDA
NDA Selection Process is quite difficult and some conditions are put on for the selection which is:
Age limit: The age for NDA Selection Process is ranged between 16.5 to 19.5 years.
Qualification: 1. For Army, wing candidates should have passed class 12th from any recognized board of the country.
2. For Naval Wings and Air Force candidates must have passed class 12th with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects from a recognized board of the country.
When it comes to NDA Selection Process if you are eligible to fill up the form an exam is conducted to get selected for the most prestigious defence institution in the world.

Exam Pattern of NDA
Candidates have to go through two stages to crack it. The first is the Written Exam and the second one is SSB Examination.
The selection process and the difficulty level of the Written exam are so high as they should be, getting trained into the most prestigious defence institute is not everyone’s cup of tea.

After clearing the written test you have to face the SSB Interview. In this examination, a candidate will go through two stages; Stage 1 will be a screening test and stage 2 will include Interview skills, Psychological abilities, and Group Performance will be assessed by the Selection Board. This examination will hold 900 marks.
